[SDSPS Members] Final Final Watch Standers Bill and IMPORTANT information

Hello again Everybody!
That day is once again upon us. Here is the final Watch Standers Bill and
some important information you must know.
Once again they have changed locations for us. But its not that major of a
difference. Its space 2652. I have attached a scanned copy of the floor plan
that I got at the convention center today. The arrow will point you to our
booth. Its in the far right hand corner of the show right near the entrance
to the dock side exhibits. They have really had to change the entire layout
of the show due to many last minute cancellations of vendors. The online
version of the floor plan is completely wrong so don¹t plan on using that.
At first glance you will notice that we seem to be way off in a corner. But
we should get plenty of traffic due to people going right by us to get to
the docks and coming back. In addition to that we are next to the area where
seminars are to be held and we should get traffic from that as well. I think
that we should do rather well with this location.
One of our members pointed out to me that if we want to tour the show after
our shifts we will not be allowed either back into the show or the docks
because we have turned in our badges for the next shift. I have talked to
the staff about this at the boat show office at the convention center this
afternoon and this is what we worked out. While this is something that they
do not really do, the will accommodate us in the following way. After your
shift before you turn in you badge at the Will Call booth, go into the boat
show office and ask for Stephonie. Its right next to the Will Call Booth.
Tell her your with the Power Squadron and that you would like to get a
complimentary pass. Actually, its a wrist band good for the day. Explain
that you just came off shift and would like to see the show. It would be a
good idea to have a copy of Watch Standers Bill with you and your Squadron
badge to show that you are a member. That should take care of it. This is a
very nice thing that they are doing for us so that we can enjoy the show.
Unfortunately, you can only do this on the day that you have a shift and for
after your done standing watch. For those of you who have late shifts this
arrangement will not work. You can try and float around during your watch.
Remember......ask for Stephonie.
Wear your Squadron Shirts if you have one
Wear your badges
