Jerry,

The entire event was fantastic.? Everything was spelled out for those of us manning the booth.? The booth looked far better than it's ever looked.? The Popeye and Olive Oil cardboard display out in the middle of the floor was a great location.? The fact that we were near the presention area certainly helped, and gave us more room.?? And, not to mention the triple spot awarded us because others backed out last minute to make us look even better.? The excess room was certainly helpful in making the booth more professional looking.?

Having done the break down, once, without knowing it was our responsibility, alone...? in a rain storm....? I hope it went well!?

The materials were perfect.? There is no need to have all the junk that's available "next door" (or around the corner) at our site.? When someone walks up to this booth - it was pretty obvious what we were "selling".? Classes and VSC.

This made working the booth a piece of cake!

Convention Center Staff were great.? There was absolutely no problem getting a badge or wrist band on Saturday.

The booth location?? Not sure.? Guess that's never going to be an option for location... when it's free.? The CG Aux was kind of annoying.? Luckily the radio display wasn't in constant use... with that loud emergency sound...? Had it been, advil would have been the only answer.? The "coastie" boat was also annoying.?? When Pat Rains was giving her demo, the little tug boat was incredibly loud and distracting from her presentation.? When I pointed it out to one of the older guys, he kept repeating "it's bothering you?".? I kept repeating, it's not me - it's the person taking the time to do a presentation.?? They just didn't get it.? Guess that's why WE'RE USPS members!!!!

Personally, I had a great time at this boat show.? I arrived at 10:00 a.m. for my shift... and didn't leave the convention center until 5:30 p.m.

One recommendation I'd make, would be to limit how many watch standers are allowed at one shift.? I saw a large number for the Friday night shift, which certainly was over kill.? And, it's confusing to someone approaching the booth.? Four is more than enough.

Thank you for all your hard work Jerry, you did a great job.? I know that Shaun guided you with his year's of experience as well.? It showed!

Job well done.? You deserve your merit mark for sure!

Subject: [SDSPS Members] Feedback on the Boat Show needed

Hello Everyone.
I am looking for feedback regarding the San Diego boat show and our participation in it. If you stood watch at the Boat show this weekend, or if you simply attended the Boat Show, I would appreciate some feedback on how you thought the show went.
Feedback can be on anything that came to mind including:

Communication leading up to show
How our booth looked to the general public
Set up
Break down
Presentation of Booth and materials used
Ease or difficulty getting Badges
Location of Booth
Etc..Etc..

?

Any ideas, concerns, or observations, will be greatly appreciated so that preparation and implementation of future shows goes smoothly. ?So that we may move forward in how the general public sees the United States Power Squadrons, and what we have to offer them, I would deeply appreciate your feedback.

Thank you,
?????????????

Jerry Pokerwinski
