[SDSPS Members] SDSPS January Election/Change of Watch Reminder

While I happen to have everyone's attention - thank you Diann!


Paula and I had a nice conversation last night with Catherine Isaksen at
Southwestern Yacht Club's "Last Bash" dinner (I'm sure that there will be
several more...). Catherine asked me to remind all of the SDSPS members that
there will be an informal remembrance for John next Saturday morning, the
same day as the SDSPS Annual Meeting and the separate Change of Watch
Dinner.

*John Isaksen's informal remembrance will be at 10:00 am on Satruday January
24th at SWYC. It is informal and everyone is welcome. *

Catherine reminded me that John expressed wishes that any charitable
donations in his memory be directed to two of the activities nearest and
dearest to his heart (besides Catherine, of course!): sailing education at
the San Diego Sail and Power Squadron and the junior sailing program at
SWYC. Paula and I plan to give generously and we hope that you will consider
doing so too.

Paula and I hope to see all of the SDSPS membership at both of these
important occasions next weekend. Please feel free to email me directly with
any questions.
